The only thing that has changed with the Zenbook 13 is the CPU and GPU, which are the main strengths of the new Zenbook 13:

Tiger Lake Transformer
Before we move on to performance assessment and benchmarking, let’s talk about the new Tiger Lake processor. This is a new processor from Intel that is said to offer better performance than AMD’s own line of mobile processors. We’re sure you’ll be confused when you look at the rule, and this time we have to admit that Intel’s naming scheme and processor layout isn’t very aesthetic, with a lot of confusing names and differences. So we’ll only talk about two i7 processors in the table.
The Zenbook 13 comes with a 1165G7 and not a 1185G7, and as you can see, the 1185G7 has a slightly better base clock frequency, maximum single stage and full turbo frequency. For the rest it’s pretty much the same 4 to 8-core wire handler under the bonnet. Intel has not strived for high process efficiency and maintains the same 10nm process that we have seen in the tenth generation processors. For some strange reason, Intel decided not to disclose the exact TDP on which these processors run, and this actually caused a huge problem that we will talk about later, and let’s now talk about the performance leap over the 1065G7.
Compared to the 10th generation Intel i7-1065G7 Core
This may not be the year when Intel will finally move to a more efficient process for its processors, but they must have done something interesting in terms of performance – the 11th generation processor. In order to prove this, we have carried out the following tests: Cinebench R20, Blender BMW Render, PC MARK and 3DMARK. But let’s look at the CPU intensity marker.
Both the Blender and the Cinebench R20 have much better performance than the 10. Generation of the Intel Core i7 processor. When working with a core, the 11th. Generation 185 more points, when working with multiple hearts – 618 more points. Blender’s new processor was then able to reset for 4 minutes and complete the rendering in 11 minutes, compared to 15 minutes in the 10th session. This gives an idea of the extent to which performance varies between the 10th and 11th week of the competition. generation.
That’s not all: in 3DMARK Time Spy you notice a higher score, and all this is possible thanks to the new Intel Iris Xe graphics that work under the hood – which we will talk about in another video and article. In PCMARK 10 Extended finally the difference is 1122 points. Based on these synthetic benchmarks, we can say without hesitation that the new 11th generation processors are the best. The only reason why third-generation simulators are there is to give the competition a little heat with better performance, and although they may still look much better than the tenth-generation simulators, they are still much better than the tenth-generation simulators. With the 3rd generation, as Intel likes to call it, AMD is still doing well thanks to a much better processor architecture (7nm TSMC) and a much more efficient power consumption.
Regarding power consumption, Tech Critter found that the recently announced Vivobook behaves strangely with the same processor and has a different power consumption despite the same processor and driver. During our tests with the Zenbook 13, we found that this device works at 18-20 W, which may seem normal at first glance, but until you realize that the Vivobook works at 28 W and you can play better, we need to think about what’s going on. Anyway, it’s interesting to see how Intel puts together its company to build a good set of processors. The whole question is whether we should go to 10. Generation or to the 11. generation of the ASUS Zenbook 13. Anyway, whichever laptop you choose, the experience will be almost the same, but don’t forget that Iris Xe is the 11th generation laptop. The generation is much more attractive than the 10th generation Intel UHD graphics. which has a low output power. In addition, the additional power gain makes the 11th position of the machine even more attractive. The Intel notebook generation is finally becoming a good choice for a recommendation.
